Kitanomaru Park

Kitanomaru Park is a tranquil forested area adjacent to the Imperial Palace, home to several important museums and beautiful cherry blossom displays. The park maintains much of its original forest character from the Edo period.

What to Expect

The park features dense woodland with winding paths, creating a peaceful atmosphere in central Tokyo. Spring brings spectacular cherry blossoms, while the park houses the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo and the Science Museum. The area offers excellent views of the Imperial Palace moat.

  • Nearest Station: Takebashi Station (Tokyo Metro), Kudanshita Station (Tokyo Metro)
  • Walking Time: 5 minutes from either station
  • Best Time to Visit: Spring for cherry blossoms, any time for museum visits
